WHAT TO EXPECT
The Maintenance team operates in a safe, quality and delivery orientated role. They work maintaining and improving many types of technology including robotics, automation systems, sealing systems, in-line measurement systems.
All of these systems are controlled by PLC's and as such, knowledge of any of the above will be an advantage. As a Maintenance Leader in our BIW, you'll lead the Maintenance team delivering a high-quality service to production.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
• Manage the collating of information for the shifts within the area so continuous communications are present for all area representatives
• Lead the development of educational/training plans for maintenance personnel including delivery of technical, safety and process training programme
• Undertake any other work as directed by Line Manager in connection with their job as may be requested
• Driving the Maintenance operating System to provide day to day Supervision to the maintenance team to ensure a safe and efficient production performance is delivered within a Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & Environment framework
• Comply to Health & Safety procedures by ensuring all safety metrics are achieved, including identifying safety hazards and risks and ensuring corrective action implemented and ensures the team receive appropriate training
• Support and maintain the shift maintenance engineers and ensure they are within operational constraints to achieve operational targets
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
• Previous experience in a similar role including knowledge of mechanical/electrical control systems including PLC's and body construction joining techniques would be an advantage
• To be able to drive their team along the maintenance operating system to deliver the best outcome available
• Experience of specifying and installing new automation to realise productivity targets
• Experience of Environmental controls and practices
• Demonstrate experience in the application of logical approach to problem solving
• A flexible attitude to shift work, overtime and management requests
