Position Overview:
The HRBP Manager will play an integral role within the global People Success (HRBP) Team. This position is responsible for contributing to and implementing talent initiatives that align with the organisation's overall business and strategic objectives. The focus areas include talent management, employee engagement, diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I), performance management, employee relations, and learning and development. Additionally, this role will act as a subject matter expert (SME) on UK employee relations practices, ensuring adherence to local labour laws in the UK and other European countries where Realty Income (RIC) employs team members. The ideal candidate will adeptly balance partnering with a global client group while fostering a high-touch employee culture in Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develops and maintains effective relationships with people leaders and team members in the assigned client group as well as across Europe.
2. Leads initiatives to enhance employee engagement, acts as a steward of our organizational culture, and contributes to projects that support and define the RIC business.
3. Collaborates with corporate Talent Success (recruiting) on both external and internal recruitment for diverse roles.
4. Drives talent development efforts targeted at specific employee populations.
5. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations impacting human resource functions. Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and reporting methods.
6. Actively participates in preparing employment contracts for all European-based team members, in collaboration with the PSP partner for the respective client group.
7. Ensures the organization has the appropriate personnel, policies, and culture in place to manage risks and comply with regulatory requirements domestically and internationally.
8. Administers/manages employee changes such as promotions, transfers, salary increases, and terminations.
9. Advises and coaches people leaders on resolving team member issues appropriately.
10. Maintains documents and training records as required by company policy.
11. Leads and facilitates interactive sessions with team members at all levels on a variety of topics, including policies, programs, and leadership development initiatives.
12. Provides training and presentations to people leaders on subjects such as the annual performance review process and total rewards topics.
13. Partners with and may lead global Talent Success initiatives.
ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The HRBP (People Success) Manager will partner with an assigned client group on a variety of topics across the employee lifecycle (e.g., onboarding, benefits, development, offboarding) to enable team member success. This role will also advise and partner with the broader People Success team on UK- or Europe-specific initiatives. This role may periodically communicate with all team members at the company on specific initiatives (e.g. Learning & Development, Culture initiatives). This role does not have direct reports.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Suitable experience as a HR Business Partner with exposure to partnering with client groups in the UK, USA, and outside UK, preferably the Netherlands.
2. Demonstrated strong business partnership skills, such as organizational effectiveness and consulting skills.
3. Proficient in employee relations and compliance, particularly in leading investigations, including conducting interviews, documenting, and managing resolutions.
4. In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and employment law in the UK (and ideally the Netherlands).
5. Experienced in managing HR services across the entire employee lifecycle, encompassing HR operations, payroll, and providing guidance and support to managers.
6. Skilled in recruiting, data management, compensation, benefits administration, and training.
7. Strong attention to detail, leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and problem-solving/analytical abilities.
8. Effective time, project management, and critical-thinking skills.
9. Ability to perform well in ambiguous situations and take initiative without explicit instructions.
10. Competence in identifying problems, collecting and analysing data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
11. Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas to large audiences.
12. Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Workday is beneficial).
13. Hybrid work schedule: Monday remote, Tuesday to Thursday in-office, Friday remote.
14. Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%, with occasional international travel as required.
Education:
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field or Equivalent.
2. Master’s degree preferred.
3. CIPD Accreditation – preferred.
