We are looking for a full-time Chef to work at our Fenny Lock site.
Hours:
* Both earlies (7:00-15:00) and lates (11:00-19:00) shifts
* Over 5 days, including 2 out of 4 weekends
Salary range:
* £24,400-£31,000 annually, with shift premium depending on hours worked (discussed at interview)

Essential skills you'll need
* NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent
* Operational experience in Dining Room facilities and/or the Hospitality industry
* Stakeholder management or senior influencing skills
Desirable skills you could bring
* Food Safety Level 3
What will you do
* Complete site & department induction training from day 1
* Gain experience in industrial catering
* Develop knife skills and cover all aspects of cooking
* Create menus using fresh ingredients
* Work in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent customer service daily
* Understand food safety management systems, including COSHH chemical handling
* Use food monitoring systems to check temperatures
* Support hospitality catering assistants and apprentices
* Complete mandatory food safety training within specified timeframes
* Engage in hands-on tasks including cleaning, stock control, deliveries, counter service, and shift shutdown
* Assist with ordering food, equipment, and uniforms
Job Requirements
* Apply John Lewis food safety policies and legislation
* Oversee daily opening, closing, and operations
* Prepare, serve, and present food to high standards
