Security Advisor
Working hours Full time 37 hours per week (flexible working arrangements including part time will be considered)

Salary up to £46,627 per year (depending on experience)
Location hybrid working with office locations and site visits across region
About the role
As a Security Advisor, you will be responsible for delivering compliant security solutions across the business and ensuring the security position is continuously improved with internal and external stakeholders.
The role requires you to develop security policies, plans, and procedures to support the work of the Security Team. You will develop a protective security culture throughout the organisation. You will develop campaigns, deliver training, testing and exercising to influence a positive change in the security-mindedness of all employees.
You will develop, manage, and deliver security risk and threat assessments across the company’s asset base. These assessments will inform security advice and management decisions regarding future security investments.
The role requires you to monitor security compliance, investigate incidents and breaches, and report on security non-compliance. Working with site owners providing them with security advice, guidance and developing physical security protection solutions.
You will also be managing the implementation of change and delivering practical security solutions directly or via security contract partners.
About you
If you have experience in influencing change across an organisation, developing and delivering campaigns that are then supported by testing and exercising to ensure learning over the longer term, then we want to hear from you.
You will have operational experience working with physical security design and active security systems with a similar organisation or alternatively, significant experience in the water industry.
You will ideally have knowledge of the security regulations and standards within the water industry. You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at all levels within the business in both verbal and written communications.
You will have experience leading projects, contracts management, installation programmes, and routine maintenance activities, ideally with security systems and delivery programmes.
Please note this role will require a DBS to be completed prior to employment.

This role has also been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.
