Reymas Group is partnered with a leading Construction Product business to assist with appointing a Area Sales Manager for their Merchant & Distribution side of the business. Our client has a distinguished heritage within their sector and are experiencing some unprecedented growth this year.
As the Area Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales revenue and securing new business within the Southwest territories. Focused on a large range of construction products, this role involves developing and maintaining positive relationships with existing and new clients, including Merchants, Distributor & Product Retail partners.
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Base + Attractive Bonus Structure (OTE: £65k - £70k+), Company Vehicle & Great Benefits.
Location: Home-based, covering the South West territories.
The primary objective is to grow the brand and reputation of the business throughout the UK, through key relationship development in the merchant & distribution space, ultimately generating sales opportunities.
This role will suit anyone with an external sales background within building products or someone with branch sales / branch manager experience looking for their first step into an external sales position.
Extensive product training will be given to provide knowledge across the companies product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a sales pipeline by closely collaborating with Merchants, Distributors & Product Retailer customers
Maintain regular and effective communication with existing customers to understand their needs, exceed expectations, and maximise business opportunities through developing relationships, up selling, and networking.
Proactively engage with the existing distribution network, fostering mutual trust and understanding through regular meetings.
Identify and pursue leads & new business opportunities by understanding market sector dynamics and prioritising clients within these sectors. Experience & Skills Required:
Background in Construction / Building Products gained within either a Manufacturer, Distributor or Merchant.
Dynamic relationship builder with a strong target-driven mindset.
Sales experience in a Territory-focused role.
Proactive and capable of working successfully using your own initiative.
Experience in a sales environment related to construction or similar, emphasising relationship management.
Demonstrated ability to maintain and develop customer relationships.
