Job Title: SEN Outreach Worker
Location: Plymouth and Surrounding Areas
Salary: £80 - £90 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary with Potential for Long-Term Placement

Teaching Personnel Plymouth is dedicated to supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We partner with schools, alternative provisions, and families to deliver tailored support for students who need additional help outside of traditional classroom settings. Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Outreach Worker to provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN in Plymouth. This role focuses on helping students engage with their education in off-site or alternative learning environments, building confidence, and promoting personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with SEN students to deliver bespoke educational and emotional support plans.
* Support students in alternative provisions, community settings, or their homes.
* Develop strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage positive engagement.
* Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and families to tailor support strategies.
* Assist in managing challenging behavior in a calm and constructive manner.
* Maintain detailed records of student progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly those with SEMH, ASD, or complex needs.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and adapt to varied learning environments.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students with challenging behaviors.
* A valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle (business insurance is required).
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
