Who You Are You are a dedicated and compassionate individual with a background in social care, possessing at least a BTEC Health and Social Care or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification. You have a solid understanding of child development and experience working with children and families in difficult circumstances. Confidence in communication and an ability to resolve conflicts are essential, coupled with a willingness to work towards improving and safeguarding child well-being. What the job involves As a Social Work Assistant within the Early Help and Assessment Team, you will be responsible for processing and progressing initial safeguarding and child protection referrals. Your role involves collaborating with social workers, maintaining communication with parents and agencies, and ensuring timely assessments and interventions as per the MCC policy and the Social Services Wellbeing (Wales) Act, 2014. You will also establish and maintain constructive relationships with families and measure the outcomes of work undertaken with them.
