Salary: £40,600 per annum, PAYE £, £ Umbrella

A world leading, automotive manufacturer of prestige and high valued motor vehicles is seeking a BOM Analystto join their BOM Engineering team, within Product Information,based in Gaydon. As a BOM Analyst within Product Information you will be responsible for creating, configuring, maintaining and interrogating the Bill of Material in the early phases of programmes. You will support Engineering within each Centre of Competence (CoC), building relationships with, and guiding Engineers through the BoM creation and management process. As a BOM Analyst you will also perform a number of quality checks to ensure completeness and accuracy of those BoMs for a number of gateways within Programme lifecycles.
Due to the continuous growth our client is looking for a BOM Analyst to join their team. Managing the process of creating and managing bills of material (BOMs), you will be responsible for maintain part attribute data, bills of process (BOPs) and part numbers in the ERP system.
Responsibilities of the BOM Analyst:
* Implements industry standards and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy of data management.
* Ensures accuracy of demand and part master data within MRP
* Manages BOM maintenance in MRP, including creating part numbers, maintaining part attribute data, creating/maintaining part lineage information, establishing standard operating procedures.
* Serves as the point of contact for Engineering and supports process improvement initiatives regarding part number structure/format and part master data management.
* Exercise skills in database research to collate & populate relevant supplier information in the system such as BOM cost, product/material lead-times, shut down periods, batch quantities etc.
* Implements continuous improvements to BOM & Data Integrity to improve the quality of data captured and enhance the accuracy of the MRP system.
* Develops and measures departmental metrics – Including number of ECRs released, in process & unreleased. The status and timing of these and follow ups on any not progressing to cleanse the data surrounding these.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements of the BOM Analyst:
* Strong analytical, project management, computer, communication, and writing skills (typing, spelling, grammar)
* Customer facing experience, ability to deal with multiple customers and balance incoming demands.
* Bill of Material experience preferred but not essential
* Understanding of Change Management processes
* Dassault 3D Experience knowledge preferred but not essential
* Strong Microsoft Excel working knowledge
* Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to employ creative and analytical strategies to ensure the correct information is synthesized to coordinate complex activities across multiple workstreams appropriately
* Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
* Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse co-workers and personalities in engineering, production, and management; ability to have insight into their changing needs
* Excellent time management with an ability to balance multiple projects and timelines
