GSL Education are offering an exciting opportunity for a passionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school on Hayling Island. Position Overview: As a Special Educational Needs Learning Support, you will work directly with students who have special educational needs, providing both individual and group support. Your main responsibility will be to assist students in engaging with lessons, boosting their confidence, and helping them achieve their full potential. Collaborating with the teaching team, you will ensure every student has the right support and encouragement to thrive in an inclusive learning environment. Key Duties of the SEN Learning Support Assistant: Offer personalized one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN. Assist students in understanding and engaging with tasks, tailoring your approach to their individual learning needs. Work alongside the teacher to adapt lessons so all students can access the curriculum in a way that suits them best. Monitor and record students' progress, adjusting your support strategies to ensure their continuous improvement. Collaborate with other professionals, such as SENCOs, to provide comprehensive support for students with SEN. What We’re Looking For: Experience working with students with SEN is an advantage, but not essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with students and staff alike. A patient, empathetic approach to working with children who have additional learning needs. The ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team. An up-to-date CV and an enhanced DBS check registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one). Competitive Pay: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience).
