Our client is looking for a Security Operations Officer to provide a professional and effective external Security Service tailored to meet the needs of their NHS Trust

Pay Rates:
1. Weekdays £13.20 per hour Umbrella or £11.68per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
2. Saturdays/Nights: £15.50 per hour Umbrella or £13.50per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
3. Sundays: £18.00 per hour Umbrella or £16.00per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
Hours / Working Days: between 1 to 4, 12-hour shifts across Monday - Sunday
Shift times: Days 07:00– 19:00 and Nights 19:00 - 07:00

Job Duties:
6. Provide first line response for any building related issues which affect the operation of the building.
7. Undertake and document security patrols of sites, grounds, and buildings according to the daily/night schedule.
8. Site searches in and around buildings and gardens
9. Responding to emergency calls and intruder alarm activations.
10. Escorting duties as required between buildings on request.
11. Liaise with staff, members of the public and police as necessary.
12. Maintain electronic security logs in accordance with security protocols.
13. Respond to security incidents as appropriate.
14. Participate in physical intervention activities, as required, or directed.
15. Participate in face-to-face handovers after/before each shift.
16. Ensure the hospital sites are safe by implementing locking and unlocking procedures through the security control systems as appropriate.
17. Patrols of Armstrong Way and locking and unlocking of building
18. Work flexibly and alter shift patterns as service needs dictate. To undertake rotational shift patterns worked across 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
19. To present a professional appearance and remain polite to all staff, visitors and public at all times and wear personal protective equipment provided, as necessary.
20. Responding to emergency calls and intruder alarm activation’s out of hours on London Community sites.
21. Assist Car Parking staff with incidents of violence or aggression.
22. To undertake parking enforcement across Trust sites, issuing parking charge notices and warnings to support the car parking enforcement officer when required.
23. To assist/ support the porter service as and when required
24. To carry out any other porter duty at the direction of any member of the service management team.
