We are delighted at the prospect of recruiting a Support Worker to join our supportive and innovative Getting More Help (GMH) team in the Buckinghamshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. GMH is part of a Buckinghamshire-wide mental health and well-being service designed to provide young people with expert help from one easy access point and is run by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.
To support and enhance the clinical care of patients and their parents/carers within Buckinghamshire Getting Help – High Intensity (GH-hi) Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) while they are on a treatment-specific pathway; e.g. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), medication management, Short-term Family Therapy, and Psychotherapy.
To offer: timely liaison with both internal and external partners, families signposting opportunities to support recovery, and parent & carers psychoeducational sessions to improve understanding.
To work directly with children, young people, and families to ensure that they are well engaged in their CAMHS service offer.
The post holder will work as an integral part of this dynamic team working with young people with a range of needs and will be required to offer both direct and indirect support.
