The role
Are you experienced with brand new macro site design and build and looking for your next role, one in which you will implement and deliver complex projects through design and build construction phases. You will be working closely with the new site acquisition lead to align the build delivery by flexibly resolving and designing the programme of works scope. There will be a responsibility for management of all third-party suppliers for design, construction, including fibre and power to deliver projects to agreed timescales and budget specification as agreed with internal and external stakeholders.
In this role, you’ll bring your exceptional communication and problem-solving skills and proven track record of delivering multi-site programmes across the UK, working seamlessly with both internal teams and external suppliers. This is a hybrid role, based out of our office in Reading 3 days a week or out on site, with 2 days at home. (Travel to sites for design and build activities between London and Brighton is required).
Key Responsibilities
1. Influential in optimising the allocated suppliers to maximise the asset and revenue working with stakeholders to maintain a holistic view.
2. Develop relationships with the allocated supply partners both face to face and via Teams meetings.
3. Track and report on project deliverables.
4. Use defined Cellnex processes to manage changes to scope and report on risks/issues to the Programme Manager for resolution.
5. Working within the New Engineering Contract 3 (NEC) contract framework.
6. Working on construction of sites close to the railway with adherence to Network Rail processes and procedures.
7. Undertaking client duties/responsibilities within the Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations.
8. Designer Risk Assessments: Reviewing and ensuring these are submitted and in place for any works taking place on sites.
9. Reviewing of site-specific construction phase plans/RAMS.
10. Establish an understanding of multiple operator design guides.
11. Performance management of nominated supply chain partners.
Experience
1. Demonstrable design and build experience within the telecoms arena especially new infrastructure rollout.
2. Experience of managing civils works, fibre to the tower and new power supply delivery.
3. Experience of working on construction projects near railway infrastructure.
4. Excellent communications skills and a track record of delivering multi-site programmes, with both internal and external suppliers.
5. Proficient in O365 platform and can communicate via reporting.
6. Experience in using Open Reach PIA infrastructure to deliver Fibre to sites.
