About the Role:
Our client, a well-established UK provider of Invoice Finance solutions, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their high-performing sales team. This is an exceptional opportunity to represent a respected brand and promote an innovative, market-leading Invoice Finance product.
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving business growth by sourcing and negotiating Invoice Finance facilities. You will proactively build and nurture relationships with professional introducers, attend client meetings, and generate self-sourced leads to expand the companys client portfolio.
This position is perfect for a motivated and results-driven individual with a strong background in the Invoice Finance industry and a comprehensive understanding of financial accounting and cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and negotiate Invoice Finance facilities of up to £2 million, contributing directly to the companys growth.
Generate self-sourced leads and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, ensuring continued business development.
Attend client meetings to assess the suitability of businesses for funding and to build long-lasting relationships.
Prepare and present new business proposals, including financial analysis, to the credit committee for approval.
Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure a seamless transition from prospect to client.
Build and maintain a network of professional introducers across the Northwest region.
Attend networking and sales promotion events to increase brand awareness and uncover new business opportunities.
Foster strong relationships with clients, introducers, and internal stakeholders to ensure long-term success.
Operate within the companys policies regarding data protection, compliance, and HR, ensuring all interactions meet the companys standards.
Independently manage your workload and consistently achieve sales targets, reporting on progress and market trends.
Key Skills and Attributes:
Ability to establish rapport and maintain strong, productive relationships with clients, introducers, and colleagues.
Strong negotiation skills to effectively close deals and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess financial accounts, cash flows, and overall business performance.
Self-motivated and driven to work independently, consistently achieving set targets.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
Competence with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software tools.
Experience:
Essential experience in the Invoice Finance industry (5+ years), with a proven track record of selling Invoice Finance products to businesses.
Minimum of 3 years experience in financial services or a related field, with a strong grasp of financial accounts and business finance.
Desirable experience includes an established network of professional introducers in the Northwest region and experience in preparing and presenting business proposals to credit committees.
Qualifications:
Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or business would be advantageous but are not essential.
