Your role
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Nursing will be accountable for the delivery of a professional nursing service, and provide strong leadership to the team of nurses, encouraging innovation, creativity and strategic thinking regarding service provision.
You will promote a common vision and ownership of the company values and strategic objectives, advising the business operation on the clinical implications of strategic and operational decisions.
Working closely with the other members of the multi-disciplinary team, you will ensure that the services provided by them comply with the requirements of care regulators, best clinical practice and the legal and ethical requirements of the RCN and the NMC. Developing and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, training and competency assessment of other nursing personnel.
Through regular and active communication and from the basis of an exceptional service you will forge first class relationships with Pharmaxo key customers.
This Head of Nursing will be the CQC and Care Inspectorate Registered Manager for Nursing services.
You must have:
First level registration (parts 1, 8, 12 or 15) with NMC for Nursing, Midwives & Health Visiting.
Degree or equivalent qualification in nursing, leadership or management.

5 years post registration experience, 3 of which at Senior Manager level or above. Clear and thorough knowledge of Nursing issues including statutory frameworks and National policy.
