Salary: £31,000 - £45,000

The Recruitment Bunker is recruiting for an experienced Process Engineer for a leading Automotive Group based in Coventry.
The Process Engineer's key role will be to define, document, and communicate how products are manufactured and/or assembled. They will be responsible for the implementation of safe and efficient production processes and procedures and contribute to the overall efficiency of project operations.

Responsibilities
1. Review manufacturing operations to identify and document all production process steps, creating the process flow.
2. Generate standard work methods and process instructions and suggest improvements where necessary.
3. Audit, monitor, and maintain process instructions.
4. Support PFMEA activities.
5. Generate and communicate control plans.
6. Maintain statistical data to departmental KPIs and produce reports where required.
7. Support and lead continuous improvement, problem-solving, and process improvement activities.
8. Investigate production and process issues, providing technical support and training.
9. Identify and provide input into manufacturing jigs and fixtures.
10. Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety protocols.
11. Implement 5S initiatives.
Essential Skills
1. Experience of working within an Automotive/Manufacturing environment with relevant experience as a Manufacturing/Process/Production Engineer.
2. Liaise and communicate with other departments, suppliers, and service providers.
3. Ability to manage one’s own time and prioritize workload across multiple projects.
4. Be an effective team member, working with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow.
5. Experienced in generating standard work instructions, man assignments, and process flows.
6. A high level of IT literacy, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
7. Able to identify risks, use problem-solving techniques, and implement new processes safely.
8. Experience with BOMs and Change Management processes.
9. Organized, methodical, but flexible approach to workload.
10. Experience of automotive product quality assurance systems (IATF16949, ISO9001, 5S, TPM, KPIs).
11. Understand lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
12. Must have IDLR/Full Rights to Work in UK - Sponsorship or Work Permits will not be accepted/provided.
Desirable Skills
1. Experience of using Carbon Fibre and Fabrication assemblies.
