Senior Clinical Manager- Vaccination Operations (Clinical)

The role of Senior Clinical Manager - Vaccination Operations is a key position within the organization. This role will support the Head of IPC and Vaccinations to manage the day-to-day running of the COVID vaccination program, support planning for delegation of Section 7a immunizations, and the implementation of the national vaccination strategy. We are looking for a passionate and skilled clinician with a strong operational background to lead across the ICB. The vaccination services across BOB perform consistently in the top ICBs across the country, and this is an opportunity for the right individual to support the system leadership of this portfolio. This role would suit either a Pharmacist or Nurse (other AHPs would be considered if experience was suitable) who has had practical experience of delivering complex vaccination programs, ensuring clinical oversight of incidents, patient safety, and quality assuring providers within the system. This role will support the ICB to test and strengthen outbreak responses that require vaccination as part of system preparedness. Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will provide leadership and support to the Vaccination Team to ensure that the workstreams of the program are planned and managed effectively, coordinating and taking action to enable their successful delivery. The post holder will utilize their clinical knowledge as a subject matter expert to support the successful delivery of the program by providers. They will promote a preventative and population health approach both internally and externally to key stakeholders.
The role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the vaccination services including targeted outreach and workforce oversight. This will involve leading a team through the development and implementation of new systems and processes needed to deliver the ICB's existing and new responsibilities for vaccination services.
As part of the wider team, the post holder will support the Head of Programme to achieve the following objectives:
1. Effectively plan, coordinate, and deliver vaccination to the population of BOB, maintaining our position as national leaders.
2. Develop a more sustainable approach to vaccination and embed annual programs which could scale up immediately in the event of a variant of concern.
3. Enable the ICB to respond promptly & effectively to stand up new vaccination programs at short notice to minimize the impact and duration of disease outbreaks.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to master's level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in a specialist area.
* Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post-graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent.
* Evidence of post-qualifying and continuing professional development.
* Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement.
* Should have an appreciation of the relationship between the Department of Health, the Strategic Health Authority, and individual provider and commissioning organizations.
* Member of relevant professional body.
