Job Information
Working in the Production and Business Management Team, the primary objective of the role is to support the business and its key stakeholders in delivering world-beating journalism 24/7/365. The Team Assistant role will assist the team to support a range of teams based in Salford and across the UK to ensure that the team’s administrative and operational support remains fit-for-purpose, continually adapting to evolving team and business needs.
Main Responsibilities
The Team Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and operational assistance to the team which provides a wide range of business support services to editorial and operational teams to enable the business unit to achieve its objectives. The assistance will include maintaining, efficiently operating and improving a range of office and administrative processes and systems; preparing documents, presentations and other materials; making routine arrangements, bookings and supporting the effective co-ordination and running of team meetings; and preparing, manipulating and analysing data.
Are you the Right Candidate?
4. Demonstrable experience of providing administrative assistance, ideally in a team of similar complexity and in the media sector.
5. Highly organised with a flexible and proactive approach and an ability to prioritise and to co-ordinate a busy workload to tight deadlines.
6. High attention to detail and practical experience of gathering, analysing, collating and presenting data and information in a range of formats.
7. Strong computer skills with solid experience of office software packages (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and preferably of other administrative systems.
8. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, working well with a range of people at all levels and able to target the communication to the audience
