This role will give you the opportunity to work in social care and contribute to a vital and valuable 24 hour community service in your local area, by providing support to service users within Maple Court Extra Care Scheme, Consett. WHAT IS INVOLVED? You will provide support as required to enable tenants to live as independently as possible, in their own flat or within the scheme. The role is varied and includes providing laundry support, support tenant shopping, encourage and support tenants to undertake internet shopping. Supporting tenants to access social activities and providing general support to ensure the comfort of the service users You may also have the opportunity to cover home care and support worker shifts and receive appropriate payment. You will require good inter-personal skills, be able to demonstrate a caring and sensitive manner together with experience of washing, ironing equipment and materials.
