The IT Programme and Projects Team within University Hospitals Sussex are recruiting a Senior Project Manager Position for an immediate start to join our dynamic team. Our large Trust is delivering a series of major clinical transformation programmes for the benefit of our clinicians and patients. The role presents a wealth of opportunities to extend the skills and knowledge for the right candidates who possess a passion for driving change in the health setting.
The post holders will be responsible for running projects associated with the delivery of key clinical systems and/or IT infrastructure projects. They will provide overall programme and project management and co-ordination of all activities within these projects with responsibility for scoping, planning, design and delivery of agreed projects within time, cost and quality expectations.
They will assist the Head of IT Programmes and peers in defining the programmes and developing detailed plans to deliver against all agreed objectives. They will contribute the maturity of the service through robust governance, reporting and benefits realisation. They will work closely with CCIO’s and the Digital Nursing teams, IT disciplines and relevant internal and external stakeholders. Management and close interworking with the ICS, partner agencies and suppliers is also required.

1. Manage specific, large and complex projects within the IT programme to deliver required products to agreed quality standards within time, resource and budget constraints. Key to this is the engagement of key clinical and managerial stakeholders, maximising their contributions and encouraging ownership.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential criteria
2. •Post graduate diploma or equivalent level of experience in project management or related field or PRINCE 2 project management qualified
3. •Experience of successfully leading complex projects within a healthcare environment, using PRINCE2
4. •Experience of risk analysis and management techniques, managing risk and issue logs
5. •Knowledge of the Clinical IT health system to inform change
Desirable criteria
6. •Evidence of senior management development
7. •Experience of managing business change and benefits realisation within a complex environment.
8. •Experience of managing projects in a clinical environment
