Mission Overview
A Campaign Officer helps to operate and scale our Connect Enterprise service, with a current focus on Premium Campaigns, which is used by R&D teams in industry wishing to collaborate with universities, research institutes and other industry partners in order to help solve their latest challenges, enhance their current research outputs, manage their open or external innovation networks, or fill their pipeline with new products (from novel therapeutics to cutting-edge materials).
The Campaign Officer will engage with clients to understand their requirements, create briefs of their search interests, explore the research landscape to find potential matches, manage and engage with networks of academic and industry professionals, and create and deliver reports to industry partners.
This is a fixed term vacancy for a period of 12 months, with potential to evolve into a permanent position.
Responsibilities
* In-depth desk-based research into areas of scientific innovation to identify opportunities for engagement in academia and the R&D industry
* Discussion of research challenges and R&D requirements from world-leading client companies
* Summarising inbound responses for client campaigns and creating concise reports
* Summarising client requirements and communicating them effectively to multiple internal teams and external network users
* Cultivating and managing networks of academic and industry innovators
* Strategic planning with team members for effective targeting and liaison with universities, academics and R&D companies on a global scale
* Using your strong communication skills to partake in teleconferences and email exchanges with internal and external stakeholders
* Efficient teamwork and collaborative work ethic, ensuring client projects are on track and always delivered to deadlines
* Amenability to new challenges from clients who have high expectations
* Working with the entire team to contribute to the future development of Inpart Connect Enterprise
* Other tasks that are reasonably required to effectively manage the needs of the business
Qualifications
* Postgraduate from any STEM degree discipline, with a MSc/PhD in a Life Science discipline highly desirable
* Communicate verbally with confidence and full professionalism at all times
* Possess excellent scientific writing abilities
* Be self-motivated and able to keep accurate records of work
* Highly organised and able to manage projects effectively and independently
* Have the ability to manage time effectively and work to strict deadlines at a high standard
* Be able to work independently and as part of a team
* Have knowledge of IT suites such as Microsoft Office, with exceptional online research skills
* Be excited to take ownership of a role, and driven by an enjoyment in understanding new research and its translation into commercial applications
* Experience of CRM systems would be advantageous
* Experience of Adobe InDesign, or similar document design systems, would be advantageous
