Reed Accountancy are delighted to be working with an amazing client in Cramlington in their search for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will manage multiple accounts for the company, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, handling exports and imports, and complying with various VAT regulations. Working in a small team, your duties will include: • Manage and maintain the company’s financial records, including accounts payable and receivable. • Prepare and issue invoices in multiple currencies (GBP & USD). • Handle export and import documentation and processes. • Ensure compliance with different VAT regimes and other regulatory requirements. • Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow. • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. • Assist in budget preparation and financial planning. • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors. • Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures. • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions. You will have: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. • Experience with multi-currency accounting. • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
