Content Manager - Fixed Term Contract
Summary: Plan and create communications, editorial calendar, and engagement campaigns for external channels, curate brand-led copy, and drive engagement with target audiences.
Reports to: Head of Content and Communication
Hours: Full Time / 9.00am-5.30pm / 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract
Salary: £35k-£40k
This role requires travel to our offices in Northampton and London.
Overview:
As Content Manager, you will be responsible for planning and creating communications, editorial calendar, and engagement campaigns for all external channels, including social media, publications, and email. You will also curate brand-led copy and drive engagement with target audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Steer and champion the brand values and narrative to position Bright Horizons as the first choice for families, businesses, and stakeholders.
* Create, manage, and deliver the editorial content plan, ensuring multimedia content is effectively reused across channels.
* Write, ghostwrite, and/or edit articles.
* Create content, customer experience, and marketing campaign messages for nursery, corporate, and recruitment audiences.
* Manage key projects, meet deadlines, and KPIs.
* Identify needs for visual material, ensure it maximizes target audience engagement and relevance.
* Report on content performance, using data to identify opportunities and learnings.
* Manage a regular content review process, ensuring all external content is edited on schedule.
* Commission and liaise with internal and external content producers to create content.
Collaboration:
* Work collaboratively with the Head of Communications and Content, Social Media, PR, and Marketing teams.
* Provide expert guidance to operation teams in communicating sensitive messages to customer, client, and staff audiences.
* Maintain and extend relationships with support teams and operations' colleagues.
* Lead meetings with your team and wider teams to review and analyze upcoming activities and plan content creation.
Essential Experience:
* Experience in editorial role and producing excellent, engaging, typo-free copy.
* Experience in creating differentiated content for external audiences.
* Excellent spoken communication skills.
* A track record of producing multi-layered communications.
* Experienced in advising senior leadership on sensitive issues.
* Experience with project management.
Desirable Experience:
* Understanding of the early years education sector framework and operational requirements.
* Working in an international company to balance local, national, and global communication requirements.

Qualifications:
* A degree and/or significant relevant experience.
* Higher degree and/or professional qualification in, and/or substantial practical knowledge of, content and communication production or related discipline.
