About us
At Oakridge, you can make a real difference to children who really need it.
We are in a really exciting chapter of the school’s development. At Oakridge School, we set no limits on what our children can achieve and aspire to. We always put learning first and as such, it is a community built on everyone supporting each other to succeed. At our last inspection, one parent told an inspector ‘We feel part of the Oakridge family.’
‘Working Together to Succeed’ is our motto and the reason we are here is to: ‘Improve the life chances of all our pupils.’ Our four core values of respect, integrity, perseverance, and kindness underpin all we do.
Our inclusive and multicultural school requires a motivated, friendly, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to support pupils throughout the school. You will be joining our passionate and committed team of Learning Support Assistants at the school, supporting either individuals or groups of children with their learning. You will be working within a supportive year group team and will be given a thorough induction and relevant training to be effective in your role.
About you
We want someone who is passionate about developing the life chances of children and someone who is a positive team player. You do not need any previous experience in school, but you do need to like children! You must be open-minded and adaptable to develop your own learning. We have supported many of our LSAs to become teachers, so if you are thinking of a career in teaching, this may be the perfect first step for you.
