The Security Supervisor will be a key member of the operational team responsible for managing the team of Security Officers and day to day operations. In this role, you will ensure that the highest level of security and safety of all customer sites and personnel is maintained.
As Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for the Security teams at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington Hospital & Beckenham Hospital. The post holder may be exposed to some sensitive circumstances.
The Role
* Day to day supervision, co-ordination and scheduling for the security team at all three locations
* Work closely with our client, customers and colleagues to resolve all queries in a timely and effective manner
* Attend and manage all emergency situations, act as the incident commander to ensure the security team effectively support and resolve any potential emergency
* Maintain rotas, holiday arrangements and sickness
* Ensure all security areas are kept clean and tidy
* Ensure the effective delivery of security services to include access control, patrolling, CCTV operation and incident response
* Assist the management team and client by carrying out investigations in accordance with ISS P&C policies
* Ensure all duties are carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner
* Report directly to the Security & Risk Manager
* Ensure all weekly, monthly and quarterly audits are completed
About You
* MUST have an SIA Door Supervisor Licence
* SIA Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) licence is a requirement for the role, must be able to achieve the licence within 3 months of employment – Licence already in place is preferred
* Excellent team-working, organisation and interpersonal skills
* Clear and confident communication skills, to interact with clients, customers and our colleagues
* High standards of personal appearance and presentation
* The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
* Good computer literacy
* Experience supervising a security team
* Motivated by playing a part in continued improvement, to include the professional development of your team
* Strong attention to detail and observation skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to further develop your knowledge and skills, undertake additional training / qualifications
