To identify, develop and implement strategic research and education opportunities for the MCRC, its partners and The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, including facilitating the procurement of external funding by the MCRC by managing and preparing relevant grant applications. The post holder will also be responsible for driving the MCRC’s aspirations around internationalisation. They will also develop, lead, and oversee the delivery of training and education initiatives within translational cancer research and related fields within the MCRC and CRUK Manchester Centre.
To provide direction and project management for ongoing and future initiatives that are integral to the MCRC strategy, this will involve working closely with senior personnel from all partners within the MCRC and across the Greater Manchester Cancer Research Ecosystem.
To work on any other projects as required by the Director of the MCRC
