Job Description
Systems Support
* Aid in delivery of the IT support service to the business.
* Support staff within the department where technical issues are escalated.
* Progress escalated support issues from the support service through to resolution.
* Out of hours support where necessary.
System Analyst
* Maintain and upgrade existing technological systems for the organization. Involved in designing new computer systems and frameworks, providing troubleshooting for technical issues.
* Support system uptime, integrity, stability, and security to all systems, including ensuring software versions remain current. This includes all hardware, software, and configuration components of network appliances, switches, wireless access points, servers, data cabling, telephones, mobile phones, CCTV systems, etc.
* Investigate and propose improvements to systems, software, infrastructure, and processes. Identify any potential points of failure/risk and recommend solutions.
* Create/update system documentation for technical reference purposes.
* Accountable for backups and DR outside of the scope that Melitta Group IT and 4Brands already cover.
Project Delivery
* Manage and execute relevant change requests and BAU functions of the department via the project delivery business demands recorded in the IT PoW (Programme of Work).
* Responsibilities include delivery of projects for Business Intelligence, Database reporting, and data systems development and administration.
* Provide cover in all areas in case of absences.
* Carry out any reasonable task requested by management.
The Successful Applicant
ESSENTIALS / MUST HAVES FOR THIS ROLE
1) Experience of working within a Manufacturing / Factory setting.
2) Ability to produce SQL reports/reporting.
3) Live within an hour's commute of the site/Telford area.
Hands-on approach with a broad range of IT systems knowledge that can support 1st to 3rd line support responsibilities.
Extensive experience owning and managing a network backbone/data/voice/Windows serving an environment of 100+ people.
Active Directory maintenance and administration.
Network systems monitoring and administration.
Windows file and print services, NAS/SAN etc.
Virtualisation technologies - VMWare and Veeam.
Disaster recovery focused.
ITIL certified, at least Foundation Level.
What's on Offer
Salary between £45,000 - £50,000.
Hybrid working after successful completion of probation period.
