Staffordshire Police are seeking an experienced System Administrator to join their Digital, Data, and Technology team on a permanent basis. This team is at the forefront of transforming and supporting all digital technology needs across the force.
Within the Strategy and Transformation team responsible for ensuring the Digital, Data and Technology understands current and future requirements for the force, the technology marketplace, and as a result identifies opportunities for leveraging information and digital technology to benefit the force Strategy and Transformation and maintains the overall technical architecture solution for the force, ensuring that all work undertaken across the force adheres to agreed standards, design principles and architecture methodology (in terms of technology, information and security).
Responsibilities
* Ensure the stability and reliability of servers, networks, and IT systems to support business operations effectively.
* Deploy, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise applications to meet organizational needs.
* Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard the IT environment from threats and vulnerabilities.
* Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient system performance.
* Manage user accounts, access permissions, and authentication processes to maintain secure and organized system access.
* Continuously assess system performance, applying optimizations to enhance efficiency and reliability.
* Develop and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
Experience Required
* Experience working with NICHE or a similar ERP system, including administration and support.
* Proven ability to configure and optimize system settings to meet organizational requirements.
* Previous experience in a System Administrator role, managing IT infrastructure and enterprise applications.
* Strong understanding of system administration tasks related to NICHE or equivalent ERP systems, ensuring smooth operation and user support.
