Salary: £39,073.33 - £61,116.53 (inclusive of 35% holiday bonus for 33 days per year; 25 vacation and 8 bank holidays)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Be a role model for Ford+ behaviours and requirements

5. Process owner of a series of production processes for various components and assemblies
6. Manage the implementation of major capital projects
7. Initiate and implement cost improvement actions
8. Devise and implement efficiency improvements
9. Monitor compliance to necessary standards; GIS, TS16949, ISO14001 & ISO18001
10. Drive Reliability and Maintainability philosophy from enquiry to installation
11. Ensure environmental compliance
12. Identify and implement innovative solutions to engineering issues
13. Effectively manage contractors in all aspects of projects, especially health and safety and project control
14. Integrate with the existing Engineering team and work with internal and external parties to achieve project deliverables
15. Drive continuous improvement of business objectives
16. Communicate effectively outside and inside the organisation including Trade Union
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Degree in automotive or mechanical engineering - Essential
2. Experience in conventional machining including turning, drilling, spline rolling and diameter grinding is essential
3. General computer literacy and familiar with Excel, Word or equivalent and project management software (eg Project)
4. A can-do attitude is essential together with the ability to work in a challenging environment and overcome complex problems to meet demanding deadlines
5. Resilience is essential. Candidates must be able to deal with difficult problems whilst maintaining a positive attitude.
6. Analytical mindset, with some data science skills would be beneficial.
7. Excellent people and communication skills
8. Highly motivated and self-driven
9. Ability to direct teams
10. Experience of problem-solving techniques and tools such as 8Ds, 5 Why, 6-Sigma
11. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
12. Lean manufacturing techniques

15. Project management and change management experience is essential.

Monday to Thursday 7:00-15:30 and Friday 7:00-12:30
