An exciting new position has become available to join us as Commercial Legal Counsel.
The Commercial Legal Counsel is responsible for providing advice on legal, business and regulatory issues and for ensuring legal and regulatory compliance and risk mitigation with a particular focus on Commercial Matters.
You will be required to work full-time which may include evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required and in line with business needs. Alongside this, your working location will be based at The Hawthorns, Birmingham Road, West Bromwich, B71 4LF; however, you may be required to travel to other locations as needed.
About The Candidate
* Qualified solicitor with significant post qualification experience
* Solid understanding of contract and commercial law
* Experience in negotiating a wide variety of commercial and corporate contracts
* Successfully able to recognise the sensitivity of legal decisions and managing their reputational and public relations implications
* Experience of contentious as well as transactional matters
* Experience of successfully managing relations with internal and external business contacts and the ability to maintain composure and cope with conflicting priority issues whilst working to tight deadlines
* Experience of establishing optimised processes and procedures to assist with transaction efficiency, including the development of house documents and negotiation standards.
* Ability to proactively identify and build sustainable relationships with key stakeholders
* Knowledge and understanding of GDPR and data protection legislation
* Highly organised and methodical approach to workload
* Confidential and diplomatic
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
* Full driving license
* Right to Work in the UK
* Experience of working in football or sport industry
