OH Medical is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join an in-house department of a leading manufacturer in Wolverhampton. This Part-Time Permanent role is an exciting site-based opportunity where you will be working 2 days per week.
The Role:
This role offers the ideal chance for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join an in-house team and provide a full remit Occupational Health Service operating to high clinical standards. Your duties will include:
* Develop and deliver occupational health services, including health surveillance, new starter assessments, immunisations, and wellness screenings.
* Conduct and manage health surveillance, including follow-ups and escalation pathways for conditions like occupational dermatitis.
* Design and deliver health promotion initiatives in collaboration with HR, EH&S, and leadership, focusing on topics like stress management and nutrition.
* Assess employee fitness for work, provide clinical advice on workplace adjustments, and support return-to-work plans.
* Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure compliance with GDPR and workplace safety standards.
* Conduct risk assessments, support DSE evaluations, and advise on PPE and safe systems of work.
* Monitor health trends, develop policies, and audit clinical and non-clinical performance.
* Collaborate with colleagues and travel occasionally to other UK sites.
Required Skills:
To be the successful Occupational Health Advisor candidate for this role, you'll be:
* NMC Registered Nurse with Occupational Health Specialist Nurse qualification (Degree, Diploma, or equivalent).
* Demonstrated experience in operational service management within a healthcare setting, including staff supervision and change management at a senior level.
* Evidence of continuous professional development and up-to-date knowledge in occupational health practices.
* Proven expertise as an Occupational Health Advisor, including delivering health surveillance, wellbeing programmes, and related clinical services.
* In-depth understanding of workplace hazards, safe systems of work, and manufacturing-specific health surveillance requirements.
* Willingness to obtain BPSS security clearance as well as an enhanced DBS check
* Significant experience in a complex manufacturing environment, with a deep understanding of its occupational health demands.
* Strong ability to collaborate with other Occupational Health Clinicians, aligning business needs with professional reporting requirements.
