Working as part of a dynamic team to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant day-to-day operational management of ScottishPower Renewables' (SPR) wind farm portfolio, you will be allocated a number of sites to proactively manage, coordinate, and close out local issues directly and via subcontractors where present.
What you’ll be doing
* Ensuring all site activities and safety risks across sites are performed and executed in accordance with applicable SPR Management Systems and OSHAS 45001 Safety Management Systems, and all site activities and environmental risks comply with SPR's ISO14001 Environmental Management System.
* Carrying out thorough WTG, infrastructure safety, technical inspections, and auditing; producing records, checklists, and reports detailing issues and programs to close out, and coordinating responses identified during routine inspections.
* Supervising subcontractors to ensure site activities are performed safely, compliantly, efficiently, and to the required technical standards, ensuring general statutory and regulatory compliance (H&S, Environmental, Planning).
* Assuming responsibility for pre-commencement assessment of all work tasks on sites in accordance with SPR Work Control Management Instruction, conducting wind turbine inspections, local fault resetting per Wind Turbine Safety Rules, and providing 24-hour call-out and response for site emergencies.
What you’ll bring
* Sound knowledge of electro-mechanical generating plant and apparatus, with practical experience under Company Safety Rules or similar systems.
* Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments, demonstrating a positive attitude towards change, self-motivation, and flexibility.
* Previous wind farm technician or supervisory experience is desirable, as well as familiarity with SCADA systems.
