Job Description
IPS is hiring! We are looking for a talented Planner (EMEA) to join our industry leading team, based out of our EMEA headquarters located in Birmingham or Manchester, UK.
The Planner will review, coordinate, and summarize the activities of cost control, planning and scheduling, document control, and estimating for assigned projects. Also, the Planner may assume other commercial duties as designated by the Project Manager with the concurrence of the Chief Operating Officer.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Produce and maintain the Project Control Execution Plan.
* Produce the project cost and progress reports for Project Manager and Client.
* Develop and maintain forecast for cost and time.
* Develop project schedules to level 3 standard using MS Project.
* Generate earned value information against deliverables produced.
* Identify and analyze potential project problems.
* Recommend corrective action and follow-up on recommendations.
* Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Significant experience in Project Controls, Scheduling, Cost Control, or Project Coordination.
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, finance, accounting, or business administration.
* Progressive ability, capacity, and aptitude in administration to plan, organize, supervise, and coordinate technical work and to obtain cooperation from others.
* Demonstrates project management/controls experience.
* Analytical thinking, structured problem-solving skills, superior communication skills, team building, and strong work ethic.
* Must be able to build rapport with department staff.
* High level of computer expertise in Word, Excel, MS Project, and Primavera P6.
