Castle Grange Care Home provides care and support for our wonderful elderly residents, we are registered for 50 residents.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic activities co-ordinator. This is a part-time role with some flexibility for job-sharing over 2 or 3 shifts per week, you will collaborate with another colleague to create, plan and organise an interesting and varied program of daily activities, entertainment and events, promoting the wellbeing of the residents and enhancing quality of life.
Duties will include:
Liaising with external companies to organise entertainment
Listening to the residents through conversation and questionnaires to aid producing a popular program of events/activities/entertainment
Develop a rapport with local community churches and voluntary placements etc…
Work alongside care staff, coordinating hairdressing/chiropody visits, etc.
About you:
We are looking for a cheerful, outgoing, passionate individual with a creative flair. The ideal person will be organised and have some experience working within the care sector, therefore being able to understand the needs of the people we support aiding activity choices. No experience as activities co-ordinator is required but a positive, enthusiastic attitude is a must.
