Robert Bosch LLC seeks Sr. Application Calibration Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 15000 Haggerty Road, Plymouth, MI 48170. Responsible for vehicle testing and application/calibration for radar & video (1R1V) based driver assistance functions. Responsibilities include:
1. Base perception and situational data analysis for functions like Lane Keep Assist (LKAS), Fusion for automatic emergency braking (AEB), Pedestrian/Cyclist Protection (AEB-VRU), Traffic Sign recognition (TSR), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), High beam Switch Assist (HSA), traffic jam assist (TJA), and highway assist (HWA).
2. Front camera vehicle debugging/troubleshooting using automotive development tools such as CANalyzer, CANape, CanOE, and Matlab.
3. Radar/video vehicle integration of semi-autonomous systems, with understanding of vehicle powertrains and dynamics.
4. Bench and vehicle testing (public road and test track) for system validation and tuning.
5. In-vehicle and simulation/bench performance calibration of camera sensor-based algorithms.
6. Evaluate customer specifications and translate to system & test requirements in Rational DOORS and RQM.
7. Define and document test cases/test strategy, analyze and document test data/results.
8. Recommend software logic changes for performance issues.
9. Support SW development with C++ knowledge and proficiency in SW management tools like GIT, Bit Bucket, JIRA.
10. Support system development, validation, and delivery activities according to Bosch guidelines.
11. Organize/Execute performance evaluation and validation test trips.
12. Serve as point of contact to the OEM for application topics and prepare technical presentations.
13. Train/mentor interns, co-ops, and peers.
14. Support technical project management tasks.
Minimum Requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Automotive Systems Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of experience as an ADAS Camera/Vision Calibration Application Engineer, ADAS/AD Systems Calibration Engineer, Product Engineer, or a related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have experience with:
1. Designing and executing validation test cases based on system level requirements.
2. Performing vehicle and systems integration, including debugging and troubleshooting.
3. Working with cross-functional teams regarding testing, software quality, and cost reduction.
4. Configuring and maintaining bench setups for hardware in the loop environments.
5. Performing application tuning optimizations to improve system performance.
Travel Requirements: Up to 10% domestic travel.
