We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutor to join our team, supporting children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia. As a tutor, you will work with students on a 1-1 basis, tailoring lessons to their individual needs and supporting them in achieving their academic potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1-1 tuition for students with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other SEN needs.
* Assess each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles to create a tailored scheme of work.
* Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with each student’s individual needs.
* Use differentiated teaching methods to ensure the lessons are accessible and supportive.
* Help students develop confidence in their learning and work towards their academic goals.
* Maintain regular communication with parents or carers to provide feedback on progress.
Key Requirements:
* Experience working with students with Autism, ADHD, or Dyslexia.
* Ability to assess individual learning needs and create tailored lesson plans.
* Patience, understanding, and an ability to build strong relationships with students.
* Strong communication skills to engage both students and parents effectively.
* Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with SEN.
* DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
* Experience in delivering lessons in Maths and English is desirable, but not essential.
