Primary Teacher - Year 1
Full-time - MPS/UPS - September 2024 Start
Tradewind Recruitment are sourcing for a dedicated Primary Teacher to teach a Year 1 class at a Primary school in Strood. This role is on a full-time basis and will be a temp contract to begin September 2024 which be extended to the end of July with the possibility of a permanent position. Both experienced Teachers and ECTs are welcome to apply!
The school is a multi-form school in Strood, accessible via public transport and has on site parking. The school is also graded GOOD by Ofsted and highlighted the high expectations leaders have for the children and how this has enabled their Early Years and Key Stage 1 provision to be very strong. It also found that the school is improving relationships with parents to foster strong engagement with the family set up to increase attainment.
The Role
1. Planning and delivering the Primary Curriculum in Y1
2. Responsibility for ensuring your cohort is supported, and challenged appropriately with the work set.
3. Managing behaviour within the classroom effectively
4. Liaising with Parents/Guardians on the progress and/or potential development areas of students

Requirements
9. Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
10. Experience teaching the UK Primary Curriculum KS1, Year 1 experience would be highly desirable but not essential.
11. Hold an enhanced DBS (DBS on the update service is highly desirable)
12. Have right to work in the UK
