Keeping our Hospitals clean is a big priority for us. Our housekeeping department currently has an opportunity for a twilight/night Housekeeping Supervisor at our Bournemouth Hospital. Continue your journey with us whilst we'll support you to be your best.
We are looking for a motivated, friendly, and flexible individual, preferably with previous supervisory cleaning experience, to join our Housekeeping Team. As an individual with experience in a similar role, you will be well organized, ensure cleaning products are used effectively, and that the location is clean, pleasant, and safe for customers. This is a working supervisor role; therefore, you will be expected to cover areas as required as well as supervising the night housekeeping team.
As a Housekeeping Night Supervisor, you will:
1. Possess previous housekeeping supervisory experience
2. Have a flexible approach to working hours
3. Have an organized approach to tasks
4. Have good communication skills
5. Supervise the night housekeeping team
6. Clean and prepare the areas for which you are responsible following the required policies and procedures
7. Liaise with housekeeping team leader and head of department
8. Provide admin support within the department
9. Complete housekeeping audit, feedback to team and follow up on results
10. Care about our patients, organizing your own work and planning your time to ensure cleaning never gets in the way of a patients' experience
11. Be friendly, with good communication and customer service skills.
12. Be motivated, friendly, and flexible
13. Ensure that cleaning products are used effectively, and that the location is clean, pleasant, and safe for patients
14. Understand infection prevention and control compliances, reporting incidents to the relevant team members
To succeed as a Housekeeping Night Supervisor, you will:
1. Manage and work alongside the housekeeping team delivering a consistently high standard cleaning service to the hospital
2. Have proven, demonstrable experience of leading cleaning staff
3. Be able to prioritize workloads to ensure that standards are upheld and continuity of service is maintained at all times
4. Complete administration duties including weekly rotas that will need to be produced and maintained
5. Manage stock ordering and control for the department; carrying out weekly audits and acting on the results as well as maintaining training records for the department
6. Support the Housekeeping Manager on a day-to-day basis to ensure the department is organized and meeting business requirements
7. Be enthusiastic and self-motivated and possess an eye for detail ensuring our customer experience is of the highest quality
8. Preferably have previous experience of working within a hospital environment; have good IT skills and customer care training experience
