ROLE PURPOSE
Our clients are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join their educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working closely with young people aged 16-19, providing delivery in vocational subjects (employability, personal development) as well as Functional Skills in English and Maths.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Engagement and Delivery: Design and deliver interactive sessions aimed at promoting personal development and growth among students as well as delivering accredited qualifications in Occupational Studies and Employability. Deliver and support students with Functional Skills Maths and English from Entry level a though to Level 2. Tailored Support: Customise sessions to address the unique needs of student groups, covering topics such as online safety, sexual violence prevention, and British Values. Student Development: Implement student-centered programs emphasising softer outcomes to facilitate positive progression into adulthood. Employability Focus: Enhance students' work readiness through targeted initiatives and support. Support students with targeted work experience and social action projects. Liaise with the wider team regarding safeguarding, attendance, progress and achievements.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
The successful applicant will need to hold a full assessor’s award, TAQA or equivalent and have experience of delivering Functional Skills in English and Maths. A minimum of 3 years’ experience of classroom delivery and assessment is required. have experience in using electronic portfolios. You must have achieved Grade A*-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths a teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.
