Clinical Specialist – Midlands, South / West Yorkshire
Coloplast, a leading company in intimate healthcare solutions, is seeking a dedicated Bowel Care Specialist to join our team and drive clinical excellence for our bowel care solutions. This role involves managing strategic clinical and education activities and services across a designated region. You will be instrumental in developing our BC services to support patients having earlier access to Coloplast bowel care solutions.
The Role:
The Bowel Care Specialist will coordinate the delivery of an ethical and professional bowel care service to patients within professional and company guidelines. You will collaborate with Territory Managers and the Strategic Partnership Manager to implement clinical strategies across your region. Additionally, you will promote Coloplast clinical services and solutions, be a key member involved in strategic project work to support the NHS and ensure quicker access to transanal irrigation (TAI).
A part of your role will be to support patients who require transanal irrigation. You will develop and maintain long-term relationships with target accounts to enhance partnerships with Coloplast, ensuring the provision of expert professional and clinical care using evidence-based practices. As a resource, you will provide expert information, training and advice to healthcare professionals and patients and deliver education and training on the use of Coloplast BC products.
Staying updated with trends and changes in the NHS is crucial to ensure that Coloplast strategies align with customer needs. You will monitor activity and data with Territory Managers to ensure efficiency and access to TAI. Additionally, you will coordinate service audit and evaluation activities to maintain standards, service provision, and identify opportunities for improvement. Maintaining a professional portfolio in line with NMC requirements and keeping abreast of clinical developments within the specialty are essential. You will also ensure compliance with CQC registration and clinical governance requirements.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with strong clinical and commercial acumen, a positive can-do attitude, and a results-oriented mindset. Exceptional planning and communication skills are essential, as well as embodying Coloplast’s mission, vision, and values.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years as a registered General Nurse with a current NMC pin or be a qualified Physiotherapist or Clinical Scientist holding a professional governing body. Previous experience in implementing and being involved with strategic project work is essential.
