Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for an Interim Assistant Accountant to join a busy business with a great reputation based in North-East Bristol.
This opportunity is a Fixed Term Contract for a period of circa 15 months
Start Date: Flexible (Ideally June 2024)
Duration: 15 months
Salary range DOE: £30,000 - £37,000 + Study Support (ACCA/CIMA/AAT)
Hybrid working - 3 days a week in the office
Working hours - 35 hours a week, flexible with start/finish time
Role includes:
1. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
2. Daily bank reconciliations
3. System postings and supporting MI reports
4. Clearing down aged/reconciling items
5. Daily cash management and reconciliation of bank accounts
6. Ensuring that the ledgers are closed and all month-end processes are completed on time
7. Continuously seek improvements and efficiencies to the team's processes
8. Assisting the team covering other reconciliations, the financial control framework, external auditor requests etc
Skills/Experience needed:
9. Analytically minded - Enjoys handling large amounts of data and analysing information
10. Enjoys sharing ideas, thinking outside of the box and making suggestions
11. Previous experience with - Reconciliations, reporting, analysing, posting journals
12. Comfortable using Excel (Any knowledge around Power BI is desirable)
13. Ambitious & willing to learn and progress
14. Team player
