Role: Teaching Assistant Contract: Flexible, supply basis Working hours: Monday - Friday (term time only) 08:30 - 15:30 Salary: £14.45 - £15.20 per hour We are excited to offer an opportunity to join an alternative provision in Tiverton as a teaching assistant. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about supporting students with additional needs on a flexible, supply basis. You’ll play a vital role in creating positive learning experiences for students who may face challenges in mainstream education, special school environments or whilst transitioning from out-of-county placements. Key responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning Assist with delivering engaging and tailored interventions, including thematic learning activities and personalised timetables Support students’ academic, social and emotional progress in a flexible capacity, adapting to a variety of classroom settings About you: A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) Confidence in providing 1:1 support to students Resilience, adaptability and being proactive are essential Experience working with children or adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN) A genuine enthusiasm for working with young people in SEN environments A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle Why join us?
