Established over 50 years ago, Natta Building Company Ltd specialises in Building and Civil Engineering projects. The work we undertake in various sectors includes commercial, healthcare, residential, and more. We also undertake design and building packages with experience in various build styles including steel frames, reinforced concrete frames, basements, and traditional brick/block work.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY
This varied and satisfying job begins at the design stage of a major construction project and runs right through to its completion. It is the responsibility of this job role to ensure that works run smoothly, are completed safely, to the highest quality, on time, and to budget. Project Managers are in charge of the overall planning, management, co-ordination, safe working environment, and financial contract of a project. You will report into the Construction or the Operations Director, who then reports to the Managing Director based at Natta Head Office.
MAIN TASKS
1. Plan and manage the safe delivery of the project at hand and direct a multi-disciplinary team through the project to ensure deadlines are met.
2. Manage the day-to-day working, utilisation, implementation, and technical consultants engaged on client assignments.
3. Manage relationships with the client team and third parties to ensure works progress without delay.
4. Ensure all stakeholders are kept up to date with works progress.
5. Ensure completed works are signed off before they are accessed by follow-on trades.
6. Liaise with estimators, buyers, and commercial managers to ensure that materials are ordered on time and in sufficient quantities.
7. Identify aspects of the project which have significant potential to cause disputes or additional costs and resolve as appropriate.
8. Record all activities outside the scope of works.
9. Contribute to and develop detailed scopes with the cost team.
10. Plan works thoroughly to maintain a safe system of work specific to each project.
11. Interrogate design to ensure buildability and identify opportunities for improvements.
12. Ensure clients' requirements are balanced with Natta Building Company's targets.
13. Develop and improve working practices to enhance efficiency and minimise wastage.
14. Report progress on projects to senior management and maintain high standards in project reporting.
15. Prepare client project reports and submit a final report on conclusion of the project.
16. Ensure sufficient staffing levels for effective work to be carried out to the required standard.
17. Chair weekly project meetings.
18. Complete the site start-up checklist.
19. Identify underperformance within the team and address it as necessary.
20. Maintain a current set of working drawings on site.
21. Review and understand technical drawing detail including CAD software.
22. Hold safety briefings and ensure actions arising are carried out.
23. Carry out safety inspections at agreed intervals.
24. Ensure Natta weekly procedures and reporting are undertaken.
25. Coordinate required support levels and training.
26. Maintain a detailed site diary listing current operations, material orders, and resources.
27. Ensure all relevant work permits are in place before tasks start.
28. Coordinate and organise necessary health and safety files and manuals.
KEY SKILLS
1. Detailed knowledge and implementation of the latest HSQE construction standards.
2. Communication and team coordination including presentation skills.
3. Understanding and delivery of quality throughout the whole construction process.
4. Ability to lead team meetings and present at client meetings.
5. CSCS black card, SMSTS training, First Aid Training.
6. Experience in managing projects circa £10m plus.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering, building studies or building management.
2. Membership of an Industry professional body such as RIBA, RICS, ICE, IstrucE, CIOB or CIBSE.
3. SMSTS/CSCS and First Aid.
4. Hold a Prince2 or MSP practitioner qualification.
5. 5 years' experience in a similar Site Management role.
