The key responsibilities and duties of the EHS Advisor include, but are not limited to:
1. Collaborate with all departments to ensure ongoing EHS compliance
2. Lead risk assessments, COSHH reviews, and accident investigations
3. Support ISO 14001 & 45001 audits to maintain group certification
4. Develop and implement EHS policies in line with UK law and LHT standards
5. Drive H&S targets, training, and cross-functional safety initiatives
6. Manage REACH compliance and hazardous substance assessments
7. Oversee PPE standards and ensure proper EHS testing protocols
8. Partner with HR on occupational health and first aid coordination
9. Contribute to quality system updates and deputise for the Security Manager
10. Represent the business within the wider Lufthansa Technik EHS community
The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:
11. Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or similar field—or equivalent experience
12. NEBOSH or IOSH qualification preferred
13. Auditing experience with ISO 14001 or 45001 is a plus
14. Background in EHS, ideally within aviation or a regulated industry
15. Skilled in risk assessments, audits, and MSDS reviews
16. Strong team player with excellent communication and coordination skills
17. Confident using Microsoft Office and reporting tools
18. Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused with a continuous improvement mindset
19. Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing change
Working conditions:
20. Based in Hayes with potential for hybrid work post-training
21. Full-time role with occasional travel as required
