We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Shift Supervisor to oversee and lead a team of Maintenance Shift Engineers at our manufacturing site based in Rotherham.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this is an exciting, varied role where you will be hands-on, using your engineering knowledge to ensure the effective maintenance of the site machinery whilst reacting to breakdowns and managing a team of skilled individuals.
Rota pattern: 4 on 4 off, 2 days 2 nights
Overtime rates: paid at 1.5 and double time
Other duties of the Maintenance Supervisor will include:
1. Responsible for the shift maintenance function.
2. Provide a focal point for out of hours contact.
3. Supervise, schedule & organise the team to deliver expected set KPI’s including resource availability.
4. Plan the workload considering changes in requirements, resources, or unscheduled events/occurrences.
5. Co-ordinate and manage maintenance requests for the site and continually improve the maintenance services.
6. Ensure maintenance is covered across the site during staff absence and planned preventative maintenance is carried out as per schedules.
7. Ensure all staff have a workflow planned for their shift and output of work required is met.
8. Carry out breakdowns constructively, accurately, and ensure the team & self work in a safe and orderly manner.
What we are looking for:
1. Minimum of BTEC HND/C Certificate in electrical or mechanical engineering or relevant time-serviced experience will also be considered.
2. At least 5 years’ experience within a medium to heavy manufacturing environment.
3. Multi-skilled with good hands-on knowledge of electrical, mechanical plant machinery including pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems.
4. High voltage experience desirable.
5. Good fault finding and problem-solving skills essential, coupled with the ability to work under pressure.
6. Ability to understand and produce engineering drawings.
7. General knowledge of health and safety standards and the ability to carry out on-the-job risk assessments.
8. IOSH qualified.
9. Computer literate and experience of working with Maintenance Management Systems.
