Apply UCD methodologies to create seamless and inclusive user journeys. Work within GDS guidelines, ensuring services meet Service Standard assessments. Conduct user research and translate insights into actionable service improvements. Develop service blueprints, journey maps, and process flows to define service interactions. Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, developers, and policy teams. Ensure services are designed with accessibility, scalability, and sustainability in mind. Advocate for user needs while balancing business and technical constraints. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Service Designer in public sector or government digital projects. Deep understanding of User-Centered Design (UCD) principles and methodologies. Strong knowledge of GDS standards, assessments, and accessibility guidelines. Hands-on experience creating service blueprints, journey maps, and process flows. Ability to work in an agile environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Experience conducting user research and usability testing. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in design tools such as Miro, Figma, or Adobe XD
