This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week on a Maternity Cover basis.

* To effectively coordinate and deliver a curriculum portfolio that includes Apprenticeship and Higher Education programmes ensuring high levels of learner/apprentice success and progression.
* To deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment on a range of programmes.
* To effectively coordinate and develop a portfolio of courses and study programmes that enable learners to succeed and progress.
* Ensure that staff continually deliver a quality curriculum to meet the needs of students, ensuring that achievement, completion, retention and progression are met as a result.
Job responsibilities
JOB PURPOSE
As the HE Curriculum Co-ordinator in Nursing, you will join a progressive and dynamic team involved in developing an expanding Higher Education and Apprenticeship provision in Healthcare and Nursing.
The post-holder will be responsible for coordinating and delivering a curriculum portfolio of Healthcare and Nursing programmes within the Health, Sport and Student Participation Faculty. The HE Curriculum Coordinator will develop outstanding teaching, learning and assessment across their respective programmes whilst ensuring positive student outcomes and satisfaction.
The role will also involve working closely with key employers and trusts within the region to develop the critical workforce for the future through a high-quality progressive Healthcare provision.
KEY TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* To effectively coordinate and deliver a curriculum portfolio that includes Apprenticeship and Higher Education programmes ensuring high levels of learner/apprentice success and progression.
* Curriculum development: with the Head of Health and Counselling and the HE Partnership and Development Manager, make recommendations regarding current and future curriculum developments.
* To effectively coordinate and develop a portfolio of courses and study programmes that enable learners to succeed and progress.
* To deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment on a range of programmes.
* To coordinate and manage the performance of designated staff, ensuring that they can deliver a high-quality learning experience to students.
* Ensure consistency and compliance with UCW/University procedures across designated HE programmes.
* Working with the Assistant Principal Curriculum and Head of Health and Counselling to lead with the timetabling of programmes.
* To manage the marketing of provision and IAG for students within the subject area.
* Assisting students in their progression from further to higher education and from higher education to further higher-level study and/or employment.
* Ensuring that effective Quality Assurance processes are implemented and robustly complied with to maximise student experience and satisfaction.
* Having an interest in new and emerging industry developments, and to integrate and cascade such developments within the delivery of Health and Social Care.
* Tutoring a group of students, showing sensitivity to their needs and encouraging the highest possible standards.
* Reviewing and adapting curriculum offers to reflect new delivery modes and responses to agendas such as unemployment, retraining and upskilling.
* Grow long-term relationships with local, regional and national stakeholders within the Health sector.
* Contributing to pedagogical innovation, curriculum development and planning within the HE Health department.
* Engaging in industry and/or scholarly activity as required by the Head of Health and Counselling, HE Directorate.
Person Specification
Experience
* Hold an active Nursing and Midwifery Council Registration.
* Relevant professional experience relating to the discipline to be taught.
* A breadth of knowledge, understanding and professional experience of Healthcare.
* Knowledge and experience of current learning and teaching strategies.
* Credible role model to inspire and influence upholding the standards outlined in the Healthcare and Nursing and Midwifery Code.
* Experience of working with national governing or accrediting bodies.
* Experience in working effectively with employers/partners to develop current and new provisions.
Qualifications
* Five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
* Degree-level qualification, which is appropriate to the work.
* Hold an active Nursing and Midwifery Council Registration.
* Teaching Qualification.
* Postgraduate Qualification related to the discipline to be taught.
