Responsibilities:
As a Plater (Surface Treatment) Experienced Operative, you will:
1. Prepare components for surface treatment through masking, media blasting, and waxing
2. Follow detailed process instructions and data sheets for processing components
3. Accurately record processing times and results from surface treatment operations
4. Promote a safety-first culture within the team
5. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the Surface Treatment department
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
To excel in this role, you must possess:
1. Proven ability to follow process instructions meticulously
2. A keen eye for detail and quality
3. Willingness to learn and develop new skills
4. Strong team player attitude
5. Minimum of 3 years of direct and relevant experience in a surface treatment environment
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Ideal candidates will also have:
1. Experience in an aerospace processing environment
2. Qualifications in Chemistry (GCSE and above)
3. IMF Foundation or Technician Qualification
Technologies:
Familiarity with surface treatment processes and related technologies is essential for this role.
