Deputy Head of Science
Salary: Main teaching salary + TLR 2b (salary negotiable for the right candidate).
Contract: Fixed term for 12 months with the possibility to become permanent.

About the Role
St Joseph’s College is seeking a highly motivated Deputy Head of Science to support the Head of Science in leading and developing the department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher to take on a leadership role, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across KS3-KS5, with a particular focus on KS4.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach Science across KS3-KS5, with a focus on raising student attainment.
* Lead the development of KS4 Science curriculum, including assessment and teaching strategies.
* Monitor student progress and implement effective interventions to support learning.
* Assist in quality assurance processes, ensuring the highest teaching standards.
* Support and mentor trainee teachers and colleagues.
* Organise and oversee enrichment activities, trips, and clubs related to Science.
* Work with SEND and pastoral teams to support vulnerable students.
* Promote the Catholic and Lasallian ethos of the College.
