The Production Planner plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a manufacturing facility by developing and managing production schedules. This position requires balancing customer demand, inventory levels, and resource availability to optimise efficiency and meet business targets. Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed production schedules using an ERP system (Epicor preferred), ensuring machine utilisation is optimised.
Analyse production capacity and resource requirements, implementing strategies to increase efficiency.
Monitor inventory levels, coordinating with procurement to prevent shortages and ensure material availability.
Evaluate and enhance production processes using lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow and reduce waste.
Collaborate with key departments to address production challenges, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.Requirements:
Proven experience as a Production Planner / Scheduler in a Machine Shop environment.
Proficient with ERP/MRP systems - Epicor preferred.
Strong understanding of production planning.
Strong communication, written and IT skills.

Salary: £38k - £52k (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full Time - 40hrs, 07:45-16:30 Mon-Thurs, 07:45-12:45 Fri
Benefits: 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays. Company pension 4% employer and 5% employee contribution (9% combined), Sick pay after qualifying period.
