Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organised and proactive School Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for students, staff, and parents, handling a variety of administrative duties with professionalism and enthusiasm. You will be responsible for supporting the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team in maintaining the school’s administrative systems and ensuring a welcoming and well-organised office environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage the school’s front office, answering phone calls, responding to emails, and dealing with general enquiries from students, parents, and staff. Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, admissions, and safeguarding documentation. Coordinate school events, meetings, and appointments, ensuring all logistical details are arranged. Support with the preparation of reports, newsletters, and other school communications. Assist with finance administration tasks, such as handling petty cash, processing invoices, and managing school supplies. Provide administrative support to the Headteacher and teaching staff, including diary management and minute-taking at meetings. Ensure the school’s database systems (e.g., SIMS) are up-to-date and compliant with GDPR regulations. Key Skills & Experience Required: Previous experience in a school or educational setting is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and school management software (e.g., SIMS). Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable manner. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in administrative tasks. A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided).
